The above were important aspects when Schaeffler Nordics in March started a well-being campaign for its employees. The company motivated its employees to be more physically active. Depending on the physical activities carried out by its employees, funds were raised for a charity organization. The choice to support UNICEF was made together by the employees and the local management due to UNICEF’s important work in helping children to survive in severely vulnerable areas of the world.

The physical activity was registered via an app where the employees easily chose between several options: From running and walking to martial arts and kayaking – and many more. Every activity was counted and generated points depending on time, effort, and/or distance. The points were then transferred into money to donate to UNICEF. The campaign lasted from the end of March to the end of June 2024 and a total of 405647 points were gathered which eventually was exchanged to a donation to UNICEF.

As a company, we understand that our success is directly linked to the well-being of our employees. By promoting physical activity and supporting our employees' health, we can ensure a sustainable future for our company, as well as contribute to creating a positive impact on society. We are proud to see our Nordic organization take this initiative to support UNICEF and give back to those in need. This is a great example of how corporate social responsibility can be integrated into our daily business operations and make a difference. Together, through our actions, we pave the way for a sustainable and compassionate tomorrow.
